“Bring yourself and your friends to see Nancy And Beth (yes everyone, the A is capitalized, please try to keep your sh*t together) and let us entertain you. Bigly. Like two funny fairies who can sing and dance,” Lots of love, Megan and Steph.

Megan Mullally (Will & Grace, Parks & Recreation) and Stephanie Hunt (Friday Night Lights, Californication) are coming to Australia as the band Nancy And Beth, the punk / vaudeville heart-child of the two friends, to tour Australia in 2019.

As duo Nancy And Beth, Megan and Stephanie pick dope songs and sing them while dancing and wearing matching costumes. Yes, matching costumes, and next June they’re heading down under to sing and dance up a storm for their Australian debut in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart and Sydney.

Audiences can expect a fully choreographed, non-scripted, tongue-in-cheek experience with a combination of psychic twinship, childlike enthusiasm, rigorous preparation of songs, and zero preparation of what happens in between.

Megan and Stephanie, and the five dollfaces that back them up, have created a musical outfit that is celebratory, surprising, sweet, tuneful, eye-catching, thought-provoking and amusing.

Hailed by Theater Mania as “the most avant-garde show to play the Café Carlyle in recent memory” (Café Carlyle is a legendary New York City jazz restaurant) and “musical misfits” by NPR All things Considered (the flagship news program on the American network National Public Radio), Nancy And Beth has also performed at the Newport Folk Festival, the Grand Ole Opry (a weekly country music stage concert in Nashville, Tennessee), London’s Royal Festival Hall, Solid Sound (a music and arts festival at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art), and many other venues in the US and abroad.

Nancy and Beth will play QPAC on Wednesday 19 June 2019. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday 20 December, 2018. For more information head to qpac.com.au.
